Well, lets see. I am ready for FRIDAY! I am ready for Friday because Evan and I are going to mobile with Matt and Harper. Matt and Evan are going to go play golf, and Harper and I are going to pamper ourselves by getting a spa treatment and by going shopping. Well, not so much shopping for me as it is looking! HAHA! Money is getting tight around these parts because it is just one thing after another.
I mean really?! WHAT ELSE IS GOING TO BREAK IN THIS STINKING HOUSE THAT WE ARE GOING TO HAVE TO FIX AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! That is pretty much how I feel just about every time I step foot in my house. Sheesh. What are we doing you ask? Well, lets see. Granted our house is a 1960s model house and I know that even newer houses have maintenance issues too. That's part of owning a house...yeah yeah...I GET IT! BUT, really!?!?! We have replaced just about every light fixture in our house, we have put lattice on our deck, pressure washed our drive way, painted the front porch, replaced the windows, replaced just about every faucet in our house, and this past weekend we replaced our water heater. BUT there is still SO much more to fix! We are going to rip up the carpet in the blue room and remodel it (we are moving the office to that room and it will be totally Evan's space). Then, we are going put on a new roof and eventually put hardwood floors down.
Anyway these are just plans..We will see what happens...
Well, I'm off to PTO! Yea for jeans tomorrow!

On my way to see BaMa Play...in Arizona that is....
SO HOW GREAT WAS THAT GAME? AMAZING? Yes! NO, not the Auburn game who squeaked by with a win against Mississippi State. I ask why didn't Mississippi State win, oh that's right it's because their Mississippi State! Oh well, I'm talking about the Alabama Vs. Penn State game.
I was SO excited to know that Evan bought us tickets to go see Bama beat Penn State. I really wanted to go to this game because I have never seen a Big Ten team play before and it just seemed like a classic vintage game to go to. PLUS Joe Pa was there! GUESS what? I got to see him up close! yea! After the game he was leaving and we saw him being escorted. I looked in the van to see who it was and there he was all hunched over, sad in defeat! So Cool. We also wanted to go this game because it was our anniversary weekend. Today Evan and I have been married for two happy years. Well, somewhat happy....hahahahah j/k! I ♥ him.
Well, no more parking at the old apartment. They sold all of their spots to stinking RVers! :P BUT we found new parking at Canteberry or Ghettoberry as Evan calls it. Yea! Saturday, was SO hot. It was almost unbearable. Then it just had to rain. I mean the stinking bottom fell out. EVERYONE was soaked. Luckily, Evan was on top of his game and brought an umbrella with him. So, we didn't get soaked!! :) We waited out this "storm" in the locker room store (which btw is EXTREMELY OVER PRICED).
My favorite part of the game was when there was a double fumble. To be honest, Alabama did not play to their full potential which I was a little bit disappointed in seeing. BUT lets face the facts, we spanked a top twenty team. Our Heisman trophy running back was on the sidelines due to an injury and one of the SEC's top pass rushing defensive linemen was on the sidelines due to suspension. With all that mess going on we were playing against a BIG TEN opponent, yet NO ONE WAS WORRIED ABOUT US LOOSING. I mean really how awesome is that?!! Yes, I am Katherine Osmer and I am A BAMAER! Oh yea, I said it's great to be from ALABAMA...the school where dreams come true. Because we are the champions........OF THE WOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRLLLLLLLDDD.
All I know is that you better look for me on TV at the 2010 National Championship Game in AZ because BAMA's kicking butt and taking names AGAIN. ROOOLLLL TIIIIDEE!
After we got home from the game, Evan washed and detailed my car! How sweet is he?! Well, tonight is our anniversary and I'm off to get ready! Hopefully, we are going to get some gooooood sushi!

School School School
Well, sorry I haven't blogged in a while for those of you who actually read my blog. I have been extremely busy with none other than SCHOOL.
School finally started on August 9th. Then the next Monday, grad school started. Our school is still foregoing construction. At this point I am not sure when it will be finished, but I hope soon. I feel isolated from the rest of the school (Our hallway is by itself) and before the construction we always had alot of traffic, but now we have NONE! It is nice and quiet! :)
Grad school for the first semester is going to be just fine. I think I picked two good classes to ease into my first semester, especially since I am working full time, tutoring, and trying to have some sort of life. Next week Evan goes back to D.C. :( , but I think I will be able to get ahead with my school work.
I am SO excited about P90X! I love it! BUT it is ExTrEmE! BUT I LOVE IT! Seriously....it kicks butt! I've been doing it for 14 days, and I can already tell a difference! YAY! I just want results that the gym wasn't giving me. I mean I feel like I was somewhat fit and/or active because I was going to the gym, but now I really can't wait till the end of my 90 days! I really think this workout program is going to work!!
On a house note....We FINALLY got NEW Windows! Yay! Window World did an awesome job! We have also been able to mark some other things off of our To-Do list. I think this weekend, we are going to start cleaning out the dah dah dunh...*blue room* <~ I hate the blue room with the Easter basket bathroom! I mean really, who puts lilac tile down? Yes, LILAC! YUCK! I hate our bathrooms, even with improvements they still stink. Those rooms need to be torn up and re-built, BUT that costs too much money and we need other things before new bathrooms. Whatever. I still hate them. Yes, I HATE my bathrooms and I don't care who knows it! BLAH.
I have come to the conclusion, that I am not settling on certain stuff anymore. I can have my cake and eat it too. At least, for a little while. I mean good grief. Why should I have to settle? I have don't have any kids yet nor do I have a lot of bills, why not carpe deim? Chill. I'm not saying I'm going to go out and buy a yacht, but if the time and money was right...maybe I'd consider it. Only kidding here. I am also not saying, that life is passing me by. It's just I only get one life, and I want to do it right. I've DONE EVERYTHING BY THE BOOK THUS FAR. I've graduated from high school, went to college, got a great job, got married, now I'm going back to school to continue my education, what's next? Whatever is coming my way, I just want it to be exciting...whatever it is!
Anyway! September is going to be a huge month! We're busy like every weekend! The 11th is Penn State and Our 2 year anniversary on the 13th. The 17th is going to be SUPER EXCITING because I have George Strait and Reba McEntire Tickets! YAY! I can't wait to see George again! The last weekend we are going to Mobile with the Basquills! YAY! I can't wait.

Pitty Party :(
So, it is August 4, 2010 and school starts August 9, 2010. I have not been able to get into my classroom because of construction. UGH. Did I mention meet the teacher is FRIDAY NIGHT!
Oh BTW! Evan gets home Friday night around 11PM. YAY! Although, he is gonna have to work with me in my classroom ALL weekend because I will have a room full of kids on MONDAY and our room is BARE! Did I mention that he leaves AGAIN on MONDAY to Tuscaloosa for two weeks, and the GONE AGAIN to Washington D.C. for another week. I really do love his job, but sometimes I wish he had a "normal" 9 to 5 job and came home to me EVERYDAY! I know, I know this makes us stronger as a couple, BUT I just miss him terribly. I mean really, people just don't understand what this is like. Military wives and families inspire me so much. I am truly blessed and thankful and I know I shouldn't be complaining.
Anyway, every night for the past three nights I have woken up at 3AM and have not been able to go back to sleep until almost 5AM. SHEESh. Don't ask me why either. I think I just have too much on my mind to sleep, and I started reading a new book!
I'm looking forward to seeing my darlin! I can't wait for Alabama Football to start! AHHH ROLL TIDE! Oh and I am gonna try to get George Strait and Reba McEntire Tickets!! They will be in B-ham 9-17-10!! That would be an awesome show. I've seen George before and he was AMAZING!
WAHHOOOO P90X will be here today! YIPPEE!! I might not be singing that same song later tonight, but I am ready to see more results. The gym just isn't cuttin it. I am also gonna make Evan do this workout with me! No more pie and bbq for him! hehe :)

Houston
Right now I'm supposed to be catching up on my reading for Foundations of Education, but I decided to blog about our trip to Houston. :P
We went to Houston last weekend to see some friends of ours and it was awesome! Evan and I had an amazing time. We got out there late Thursday night and went straight to our hotel at the Embassy. They had swans in the lobby..I thought it was neat.
On Friday we went to the Galleria it made the Galleria in Birmingham look pitiful. I was in heaven. I mean wow all my favorite places under one roof. Plus, stores I have never even heard of! AmAzInG! This mall was so big you could easily get lost in it. I couldn't even image what the day after Thanksgiving shopping must be like.. WOW. Later that day, Neil took Evan and I out on a boat from his boat club. It was alot of fun! That night Sara and Neil, took us out to dinner at the Reef. Great food! YUM!
Saturday, we lounged around at the pool! It was great getting some sun! That evening we went to a wedding for Karl and Tara. It was beautiful and had some pretty tasty food.
Sunday, Neil prepared a wonderful breakfast before sending us on our way to the airport. Of course, we can't go anywhere without something happening... On our way to the airport we stopped at a gas station. As we are less than 2 miles from the rental car drop off and 1 hour till departure....OUR TIRE HAS A BLOWOUT! Talk about being MAD! I thought we were going to miss our flight and be stuck in the airport till the next flight. AND THEN we almost got mugged two different times from two different people! ScArY! Evan was like...Katherine GO SIT IN THE CAR!
I have to say thank goodness Evan was there because I would have been a basket case! I also have to say he can change a tire pretty quick!! :) Then when we get to the rental place it takes what seems to be FOREVER because we have to fill out the paper work...
Go figure check-in and security was extremely packed. Boy we were sweating bullets because by the time we got to security we had only 15 minutes till our plane left! AHHH! So, we get finished with security and run all the way to the gate. Which of course has to be the next to last gate... PHEW! We made it as they were boarding our group on the plane!! AWESOME! At this point I was convinced that our luggage would not make it. However, to my dismay our bags were pretty much the first off the plane.

Summer Nights...Thoose Summmer NiiiiGHHHHHHTSS
Wahhhoooo for no working...at school!!! Don't worry I'm not being a completely lazy bum. Evan wouldn't let me just do nothing. BUT I do have to say I have caught up on some sleep and some much needed shopping. :) I also have been somewhat busy with my two summer online courses. One course is super fun because its about teaching reading which I teach for most of the day! However, the other course I am taking is not hard, but its just hard for me to get motivated to read about. I mean geez, I LOVE reading textbook fine print everyday about the foundations of education! :P
Switching gears here. Dinner is like the most important time of the day to me because I get to sit down with my love, talk about our day, and eat! Tonight we had an amazing dinner! We had steaks, veggie kabobs, bread, salad, and scalloped potatoes. I just have to say I am one heck of a griller! YUM. I love to cook, and I would cook more often if Evan was at home continuously. It's just hard to cook for one person and I am not big on leftovers. I mean who really is big on leftovers. YUCK. If you eat the same food more than twice in a row you cooked way too much. Evan doesn't understand why I don't particularly like left overs. I like fresh food not heated up old food. I need variety. I am just saying Evan, I don't see you taking your "leftovers" to lunch....(love you hunnie)
I am SO excited about going to Houston TOMORROW! I even bought a new party dress and everything! So, I hope all you Texasans are down with the get down...
I am seriously debating on wearing ALL Alabama Crimson Tide clothing the entire time we are there... OR maybe when we land on the tar mat I should just start singing..... dunh dunh dunh.....na nuh heyyyyyyyyyyy longhorns....
Let's take a stroll down memory lane...

Look out Bill Dance the Osmers' are going Pro!
This weekend was absolutely AWESOME! I got to see some great friends and spend time with some of our family!!
Finally, after 8 LONG years..... I caught a fish! A REAL BIG FISH! The first night at the lake house I caught a small bass about 1 1/2 lbs. On Saturday, I caught a 6-7 lbs catfish! I was ecstatic! I definitely know why people love to fish! It is definitely a rush pulling in a huge fish. I mean I have been deep sea fishing, but I only caught a little red snapper, so there wasn't much fight in that fish. However, this catfish was a different story it did NOT want to be caught. That turd was MEAN.
So after a while of being the biggest fisherman on the pier, you know Evan and Nick just had to out do me. Well, I am here to tell you they did just that. My REAL BIG FISH turned into a REAL WIMPY FISH real quick. They caught a 33 lbs catfish! Later, Kelly caught a 5-6lbs bass. Even Janice caught a nice bass! After that, my dad caught not 1 but 3 freaking bass on a flipping 30 year old wood fishing lour! Talk about wearing them out! This weekend was some of the best fishing that has EVER happened at the lake house when I was around! We also caught a mess of crappie and blue gills too!

You think that's all that went down??!?!?!! Not quite! You know it wouldn't be any fun without some OSMER DRAMA! Haha. First, we have some GREAT drama news! Blair and Laura are having a BOY!!! Wahhoooo!! We're so excited for them! I am already thinking of some football attire that will look fantastic on that little quarterback!
Okay, now for the DRAMA DRAMA.. So, obviously the lake house in on Lake Guntersville. Well, apparently every freaking redneck knows that our little fishing hole is a hot fishing hole. So, we have been outside ALL day and night for the past two freaking days! Well, some of these wanna be pro fishermen decide they don't want to just fish lake Guntersville they want to fish exactly where we are fishing! I am not telling it either! I was on OUR pier minding my own business when I felt something knock up against the pier on the other side....which is only a few inches from my body. Well, I turn around and two stupid boys are in their $30,000 bass boat fishing right on our dock!! Can you believe the nerve? I told them, "If you hook me with your line, you will be sorry that you did". So, they moved on but not far. They moved to the other side of the freaking pier which would have been okay if I wasn't FISHING ON THAT SIDE. Oh just wait it gets better....
So, my dad threw his line over where I am... He's like WHOO I caught another fish! NOPE... **BLEEP*** I caught a sorry fisherman!! So, my dad reeled in his line and the stupid man's line. Then I chimed in with just cut his line because I mean really what was he thinking?!?!
Then it started.... You know the saga we have been through once before on land.. Don't you don't talk *BLEEP* to me on my pier....
These aren't quoted exactly, but you get the gist of how it went down:
Fisherman: Well *BLEEPER* you don't own the *BLEEPIN* water...
Evan: No, and you don't either, but at least I have enough common respect among others not to throw my rod within a cast length of someones' other line!
Fisherman: It ain't no big deal. (My thoughts: Do what? Yes it is! Freaking hilbilly!)
Evan: It is a big *BLEEPING* deal. Your being disrespectful and have the ENTIRE LAKE GUNTERSVILLE TO FISH OFF OF. Why did you decide to fish on top of us. I mean *Bleep* we've been out here all day on this pier and your mobile. So go away! (My thoughts: YEA! You tell 'em!! Whoop Whoop +1 for our team!)
**Then my dad hooks him again! HAHAHAHHAHAHA! (I think he did it on purpose! He is a natural instigator!)
Fisherman: You pull my rod in the water and your gonna get it! (My thoughts: Oh really hos, your pretty freaking out numbered!)
Evan: Oh sorry man I didn't know it was yours. (My thoughts: Hmm..not sure about that Evan)
Fisherman: What you gonna do with it?....Eat it? <~~ My thoughts: Really that's all you got? Lame I know!
Evan: "It ain't no BIG DEAL"-- My thoughts: Isn't that what jerk said before?!?!?!
Steve: You boys really looking for trouble??!
Fishermen: **kept quite and left**..... My thoughts: I'd be scared too! Steve's a big man!!
You really didn't think that's all that happened this weekend??!?!
On Monday, I had the BIGGEST BADDEST WALL HANGER FISH EVER hooked on my line. It was AMAZING! I mean this fish was a Guntersville record breaking fish. It was bending my pole in half. I was doing all I could do to keep from going in the water! I was fishing with a plastic worm right next to the boat house. I was about to pull up my rod n reel to cast it out again when suddenly..zzzzz my line went CRAZY! I was like HOLY MOLY! WHERE THE CRAP IS EVAN OR STEVE!?!?!?! Then I realized I was ALONE on the dock! So, I was reeling and pulling. I even kept my freaking rod tip down and everything. I just wasn't strong enough to hoist him up onto the pier. So, Evan came and took the rod from me and began reeling himself. The rod was still bending in half!!!! I told him even when he gets it back to the pier that I get to claim it because I am the one who caught it!
This is when the story goes sour...for me that is... :( The whopper wrapped around the boathouse. Steve had to get into the boat to try to get him undone. Well, when he started to grab it the dang fish got off! I was like BAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH NOOOOOOOOO!!!!! This is completely unfair and unjust! WHY ME!?!?! I just new that was my ticket to go on tour with pro fishermen! Okay maybe a little bit of exaggeration. Well, at least my picture could have been hung up at bass pro or something! BAHHHH!!!! I mean the stupid fish BENT THE METAL HOOK! UGHHH! I guess that's why they call it fishing and not catching...
Oh well! I still had a fabulous time! During all of this fishing I did get some great sun!! Also, Evan makes the best fresh fruit drinks EVER, so that definitely eased the pain of loosing the biggest baddest freaking fish Lake Guntersville ever produced. Next time, it will be a different story. Stupid fish better watch your back!

Schools Out for Summer...
Yay! Another wonderful year in third grade has came and gone. I'm gonna miss my kiddos! BUT...Mrs. Osmer is ready for two months of peaceful bliss! What I can't wait to do is catch up on some ZZZZZZZZZZZ!! Wahoo for sleeping in late, going to the gym early, tanning, and traveling! Oh did I mention sleeping in late! ;)
I absolutely cannot wait for this weekend to get started! This weekend kicks off my jam packed Summer! Really, I think I only have two weekends of down time. I am not complaining though. One big reason is because I am gonna get to spend a whole bunch of time with my hunnie!!! WHOOP WHOOP! Second, I am gonna get to spend time with some friends that I hardly ever get to see. Third, I am starting grad school. Finally, I DON'T have to work!! :) However, I think I completely deserve this break because I have worked harder than some people in the past nine months than most people do in 12 months. I know what your thinking, but you can just lock it up! LOCK IT UP! Believe it or not I don't just stick macaroni on poster boards. My job is just as stressful, tiresome, and hectic as yours. :P
This weekend, we are going to Guntersville and its gonna be awesome! I'll I wanna do is have some fun!! I am going to really try to ski this time. Well, in between all the other festivities like eating, laying out, and catching fish. Maybe this year I'll catch a bass or something. I really really really hope it doesn't rain. That would suck, but if it does I think I'll just go downtown G'Ville for some shopping!
I know it's early, but still no Gaga tickets (Vegas show is sold out) or Alabama Vs. Penn State tickets :(

Trashmart....I mean Walmart
Mark my words today May 20, 2010 is the absolute last time I go to Walmart on my own terms! UGH!
First off if this town had a better grocery store, I wouldn't have this problem. Thanks Food World for going bankrupt (like everything else). I need a Publix or Kroger to move into that shopping center, so I don't have to go to the most horrible place on earth. Walmart that is! :(
Second, I usually go out of my way to go to a decent grocery store because I hate going to walmart because every time I am there some mullet head, blue jean short wearing, tattooed, toothless, ignorant redneck ruins my walmart experience every stinking time! Well, okay to be honest not all the time because it is fun to people watch and possibly catch a picture of someone to put onto peopleofwalmart.com!
Really though? Come on! Where do these people come from? I mean I was born and raised in a small town, but I don't remember people in Piggly Wiggly acting as ignorant as some customers of Walmart. Now, there definitely were some characters there! Trust me I used to work there! BUT GEEZ! Maybe Walmart is as big to people as say Saks Fifth Avenue is to some other people. It must be the roll back prices.
The final reason I dislike Walmart is because I cannot find anything! EVER! Everything is always ransacked and out of order. Then it happens. Stupidity. As I am trying to get down an aisle I have to swerve in and out dodging people like I am on a James Bond mission because I don't want to deal with the rudeness from people. Most of the time, they wont even move! So, then your have to pretend to look like your looking at other items because you don't want to start nothing with Bubba and Sally Mae and their five kids who are all barefoot because you don't want them going all redneck on you. You know what I am talking about! UGH. I guess what I am trying to say is that Walmart is just full of people like the "Odoyles"! HA- gotta love Billy Madison.
Needless to say, I am not going back to Walmart. So, no gift cards please. ;)

Going GaGa!
AHHH!
These days I am really thinking about how to get Lady Gaga tickets, Alabama VS Penn State tickets and Summer. How awesome would it be to see Lady Gaga in VEGAS?! Whatever to you NonGaga Fans. You just don't understand! I mean Vegas to me is pretty much been there done that, BUT I would go if I had tickets to Lady Gaga to complete the Vegas experience. She has the best workout/fun music EVER! So sorry Salt N Peppa you have been pushed back into the music library.
I also really would like to see Alabama VS Penn State. Not only to see the oldest coach still coaching, but it just seems like a classic vintage game that I absolutely cannot miss. Especially after messing with Texas.-- Oh yea I went there! Roll Tide! I mean to see a national championship game and then two all American teams playing against each other would just be the highlights of my football fan career.--Yes, it is a big deal. Just about as big of a deal when I saw Nick Saban on the Bryant-Denny field the first time. *Hint Hint* Evan or Parents* These tickets would be a great anniversary or early birthday present. If I must say Janice, these tickets along with our national championship tickets would add great character amongst our wonderful ticket collection on our den wall. :)
Recently, I am mainly thinking of SUMMER because it's inching closer and closer. It is so close that I can feel it! I believe I see the light at the end of the tunnel. Only 8 days until lake house serenity!
However, I am starting grad school and traveling alot. :) I can't WAIT till Houston. Evan and I are going out there for a wedding, but we are going to also get to see some close friends of ours; Sara and Neil! I can't wait to explore a new town! I've been to Texas a few times, but never to Houston. I am so excited! I am also excited about going with Evan to D.C. too! We have planned to take the train one weekend to New York and then another weekend to Gettysburg. I am excited about going to New York! Especially for the great shopping, and possibly a celebrity spotting. Last time I was in NYC I met Pam Anderson; she was really sweet. I am also excited about Gettysburg because I haven't been there since I was in fifth grade. Back then I don't think I really truly appreciated the wow factor of this place because I was so young. However, this time I think I am going to because I like history more and because Evan is pumped about going!
Hopefully during all of this I can squeeze in to ATL because I really want to spend time with Heather and do some fun girly wedding planning stuff. ;) Even though she already has everything or most of everything planned, but at least I can go see what she has planned.

Alvin and the chimpmunks have a new home!
Alvin and the chipmunks and their freaking entire extended family have a new home....MINE. UGH!
Our property is completely covered with little tiny chipmunk hide-a-ways. Where the heck is Billy Murry (the dude from Caddy shack for those who don't know what I'm talking about) when you need him!!!? AHHH! Yes, I know he was chasing a groundhog, but I need someone with his mad skills. Don't laugh! I have a serious problem here! I've got to get this under control before they invade our house. Any thoughts on what to do?
Every time I go outside or pull in the drive way I seen tiny rodents scatter. At first I was like uhh what the heck is that?!? Hmm to small to be tide haha...Is that a rat...no my friends it was Alvin.
The first time I saw dear Alvin was last year when he was trapped in our garage. I thought he was just one chipmunk being mischievous. Evan somehow got him into the trashcan and planned to "dispose" him, but you know me the crazy animal lover. I started pitching a fit, so he decided he was going to just let him go. So, I told him before he let him free to let me pet him. HAHAHA. Stupid idea. Evan had on these work gloves holding the chipmunk with both hands. As soon as I reached out the touch Alvin. He goes berserk and turns into Lucifer. He started barking and hissing, so what did Evan do? Threw him up into the air of course. So, I started screaming bloody murder because a wild animal was flying in mid-air and I obviously didn't want it to land on me and give me rabbis or some other illness.
Yeah...so now I am completely regret not letting Evan dispose of the little rodent. Now, Alvin found his ole girlfriend Britney and apparently they now have a little baby chipmunks who spend their time tearing up my yard! UGH!

The Wife of a FDIC Examiner
Well, as you all know Evan started working for the FDIC as soon as he graduated from Alabama. Which was fantastic seeing how there were absolutely no jobs being offered because of the stupid economy. So, I am definitely thankful that he even got a job. I mean how wonderful would it had been if he got a job selling insurance. We would be eating fried bologna sandwiches for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. So, I definitely count my blessings because it can always be much worse.
I knew that when he was hired he would have to travel. Honestly, I thought he would be gone maybe a couple of weeks out of the year to go to conventions and or classes in D.C. Boy, was I in for a surprise. During his first year of employment, I didn't even realize how much he actually traveled. Maybe because I was in my last year at Alabama, and I was planning a wedding.
In the midst of buying our house, I began to realize what my life of the being a FDIC Examiner's wife was going to be like. So, not even getting settled into our house Evan was already "shipped" off to school in Dallas. AHHHH! I this was the most time I have ever spent away from him. April to July is a long time to be away from your significant other. Of course we made it work. Then when he gets back he starts his normal work. Gone to a bank for two weeks; in the office for one week. Did I mention we were planning a wedding, traveling "home" every weekend for showers and what not, oh and I just started my new job. STRESSFUL. As a result, our house never got unpacked. Still to this day I am sure somewhere in this house is a box of stuff we have yet to unpack. So, we got married and then everything just stopped for awhile.
Adjustments for me are so hard to get used to. I mean I moved away from my friends, family, school life, and my husband is gone during the working week. Now, I living in this old house with noises I am not used to, living in a new town, dealing with the pressures of a new job, and no friends or family around. Talk about some serious alone time. Uhhhh where is the manual for this?
Finally, I have gotten into a grove! When Evan is gone I try my best to stay busy and do all of the wife duties that I can. Really, you can clean and do laundry all you want, but at the end of night your still sitting on your butt watching TV alone with your cat. Ugh. I did not want to be the weird cat lady who lives down street that nobody wants to chat with. So, I started painting in a class, getting ahead with my lesson plans, visiting with some new friends, going to the gym, and sometimes if the weather is just perfect I am doing yard work. Ha that last one doesn't happen to often. Now, I am going back for my masters in education and of course blogging. Yes, I know at the end of the night I am still alone after all this, but at least I not sitting around doing nothing with my life. We are also about to join a church which I think will help tremendously.
Now, being the wife of the FDIC Examiner does have its perks. Since Evan stayed on the road most of the time during his first year of employment, he had enough hotel points to pay for our stay in Italy! AWESOMENESS! So, I know I can suck it up and deal with him being gone sometimes because I know that great things will come from the pain of him being gone. Yes, I am still sad on nights he is packing his bag because I don't want him to leave. I just remember to count all the blessings I have been given each day and cast my cares up to the Lord for him to do the rest. I am starting to get used to and somewhat enjoy my life here and now as the wife of a FDIC Examiner. :)

The PPP
Hello,
This is my first blog since college. I had to make one of these for a course I was taking and I haven't used it since. I honestly thought blogging was lame until a while ago. Actually, my sister-in-law and friend started blogging to keep us updated on their upcoming life altering events. Yes, I know. Aah. Now, I'm addicted to reading their blogs, so I thought it would be fun to start my own. We shall see how this works.
Okay, so you may have been wondering what the heck does PPP mean and where did it come from. Well, my darling husband, Evan, gave me this nickname when we were working on our house a while back. It stands for "Pretty Pretty Princess". Then I made up this rap to go along with it. I'm the PPP ya you know me! Currently, that's all I have to this "rap". You really have to understand our mature and always serious relationship. HA! As we have once been described as two feisty kittens who play all the time. Yes, this is very true but we are also madly in love with each other and are serious when it is time to be serious.
Now, I'm sure you all know why Evan gave me this title as "PPP". I guess you can say..ugh I'm not really the best laborer or the best person to work with him. I love Evan very much, but he is no picnic to work with either. I mean for example we were painting front side of our house. I guess, it was just too much for me-I mean us to handle.. HA! In my defense there is only so much a 5'0 small person can do! I painted the door frame, the base of the columns, the rest of the columns that I could reach, and most of the ceiling on an eight foot ladder. By the way, that took mad balancing skills! Thank goodness for cheerleading. :) While Evan, bless him takes on WAY too much. Mixing the paint, running back and forth from the garage doing whatever he does, and keeping me entertained. Looking back I know why he gave me the title "PPP" because every time he tried to start painting the eves haha..he had to help me or fix something else. So, needless to say we have not finished painting. We-I mean I have decided to hire someone to finish the job. Hopefully, we will wrap this project up soon.
Another reason why Evan gave me the title "PPP" is because he spoils me rotten and does alot for me just because he loves pampering me and seeing me happy. Or maybe he does these things just so he doesn't catch crap for not being sweet. Nah, truly I think he does it because I am his "PPP". I mean of course he showers me with his love which is plenty, but he does do some pretty awesome stuff that he doesn't get enough recognition from me. So, I don't mind being called the "PPP" because I know I am Evan's and that's all that matters. :D
HA!
